Jagermeister is a famous spirit based 'shot' that is a world beater. It is made in Germany to a secret blend of 56 herbs, roots and fruits which are combined to create a spirit with a smooth, rich flavor and a distinctive bitter sweet finish. The ingredients are ground and steeped in water and alcohol for 2–3 days. It is then filtered and stored in oak barrels for about a year. After a year it is filtered again and mixed with sugar, caramel, alcohol and water. After one last filter it’s time to be bottled. Best served ice cold as a shot or chaser with a beer!
